چکیده
Despite the vast body of literature addressing public risk perceptions technological disasters such as nuclear accidents, longitudinal studies comparing pre- and post-disaster attitudes are scarce. This study examines (a) how perception factors concern, risk, political saliency, trust, toward energy policies related to power changed over time among different populations, (b) if social amplification ripple effects were present after 2011 Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Disaster in Japan. The article compares 2010 survey data collected before accident with 2013 2016. analysis shows a clear trend regarding concern power. Levels saliency increased aftermath disaster but declined These findings indicate between pre-disaster first follow-up 2013. However, 2016 only had significant short-term impact on perceptions. also high levels uncertainty trust future policies. an opportunity for supporters opponents alike shape Japan’s policy through well-crafted communication outreach programs.

Evaluating collaborative filtering over time
Collaborative Filtering (CF) evaluation centres on accuracy: researchers validate improvements over state of the art algorithms by showing that they reduce the mean error on predicted ratings. However, this evaluation method fails to reflect the reality of deployed recommender systems, which operate algorithms that have to be iteratively updated as new users join the system and more ratings are...

Abstract. In the National Statistical Systems, some parts of the official statistics required for development planning and evidence base management are collected through sampling survey. Due to the high cost of sampling process, as well as nonresponses, it may not be possible to collect all of the expected variables in a survey. In order to obtain a comprehensive and complete source o...

INTRODUCTION Self-regulatory theory explains how patients' illness representations influence self-management behavior. The aim of this study was to examine the changes that occur in disease perceptions after 6 years in hemodialysis patients. MATERIAL AND METHODS A total of 81 clinically stable patients (53.6% males, meanage 54 ±12.54 years, mean hemoglobin level 11 ±1.52 g/dl, mean Kt/V 1.49 ...
متن کاملEvaluating health management programmes over time: application of propensity score-based weighting to longitudinal data.
Health management programmes are generally evaluated as point treatment studies in which only a baseline and outcome measurement are used in the analysis, even when multiple observations for each individual are available. By summarizing observations into two distinct measurements the evaluator loses any ability to discern patterns of change in the outcome variable over time in relation to the i...

BABYSCAN, a whole-body counter (WBC) for small children was developed in 2013, and units have been installed at three hospitals in Fukushima Prefecture. Between December, 2013 and March, 2015, 2707 children between the ages of 0 and 11 have been scanned, and none had detectable levels of radioactive cesium. The minimum detectable activities (MDAs) for (137)Cs were ≤ 3.5 Bq kg(-1) for ages 0-1, ...
